Deep Cleaning.

So. I am out of High School forever now! And I have graduated too! yay. but that's not what I want to post about. So far during my days while my sister is at school I have been cleaning. DEEP CLEANING. heh. I am done. It feels so nice. I found a bunch of random things... Like this poem that I love. I found it a few years ago, but I totally forgot about it. I found it... here it is. One Year

heh. so today is my blog's one year anniversary. *confetti*

Yay!

You know the feeling when something that has been stressing you is suddently gone? yup. that happened to me today. Had oral board presentations today. big 10-12 min speeches we have to do to graduate High School. I think I did pretty good too! yay.

I am really excited to graduate and go to college in the fall. yay.

Epic Fail.

For some reason today I thought of this blog. I haven't been on here in MONTHS. well, in my defense I have been busy. I would give a list of things, but about half of my posts on here seem to be doing that.

I will give a little status update though.
College: At first I only got into Western Washington University (WWU) which was great, because I love Western. I also got accepted on the waitlist for University of Washington (UW) which is a pretty hard school to get into. And a few weeks ago I got accepted from the waitlist. I had to make the biggest decision of my life. to make a long and stressful story short, I chose WWU, mainly because it is a lot smaller, and UW seemed way to huge.

Rubik's Cubes: Such a nerd. anyways, since my last post I have learned how to solve all the sizes of cubes that are currently avaiable. (2x2x2 to 7x7x7). Yes, I am crazy. It is a really fun hobby.

School: Is ending soon! June 10th is my last day!!!! yay. I can't wait, but until then I have a BUNCH of work. >.<

Other Stuff: I am going to Michigan this summer to visit family. yay. And, completely unrelated, but I loved the new Star Trek movie.

Fictional Concert (FF review)

So. Yes. This. Is. Late. meh. I had computer issues earlier this week. >.<

So, Tuesday night I got to see Fiction Family with my sister, our best friend, and my parents. Lets start from the beginning.

We left our house at about 4:30. It took a little over an hour to get there and find the place. Finally we did, and because we didn't have tickets we had to save our place in both lines. We met some really nice people in the line (they had tickets) and they let us kinda cut right behind them in line, I think it was partly because we were the second group there anyways. We got into the venue at 8:00 (late, i know... the show didn't start until 9). We got front row, right in front of jon's mic. We met a really nice girl named Sarah that was sitting next to us, apparently she found out about the FF concert from LOBH too. :] After waiting a long hour (well we got merch then and stuff too) Molly Jenson finally came out. She was amazing, better than I thought she would be. And she had the whole crowd laughing and singing along.

Then after a 30 minute wait (not bad at all). Fiction Family came out! they played an amazing setlist.... let me find it for you... *digs*

It was amazing. Especially being so close. I mean I was liek two feet from the stage, which was pretty small in itself. And Its true that Fiction Family is ALOT better live, not that they are bad on there record, because they're not, but it just seems so much more energized and real live.

After the show we bought molly's cd and got to meet her, she was really nice and when she signed her CD for us she asked who to sign it for and we said "all three" so she wrote: "all 3 of you :) good luck w/ your girl band! <3 Molly"
(we told her that we are trying to start a band.)

then, after almost having to leave (my dad was getting angry at us for waiting so long, but it was like 11:45) Jon finally came out. I had never met jon. my sister and bff had met him before w/o me at the seattle concert 2 years ago. I was literally so excited I started shaking while waiting for him to come over to us. When he came over I shook his hand, looked him in the eyes and said: "I'm Emily, and I have been trying to meet you for the past 2 years..." He laughed and said that he was glad he could fix that. I told him how inspiring all of his music was, he said thanks and we got a picture. then I told him to come back to seattle again with switchfoot and to finish up the record. He said he wanted to do both. I quickly told him Hi from sarah, a boardie from LOBH. then he went on his way.

When we were walking out I was still shaking. I met. JON. FOREMAN. my hero (not to sound too lame hopefully....) We were outside and we noticed Sean just chillin by the FF van. we met him real quick, had him sign my shirt and told hom how awesome he is.

then we drove home. Then there was school in the morning. >.<

In the end, totally worth it.

Right now I am head first into college apps. It is a long process. I finished my essay but it needs some editing first. It is taking up so much of my time lately.

I like the idea of making a much longer blog post, but i am so sleepy that my brain doesn't want to work that much right now.

So I have been really busy lately. And I know it's not enough to excuse myself for over a month of not posting but w/e.

So yes. I actually was busy. I haven't even posted on LOBH much in my absence. :[

but with Christmas break I should be back to normal soon. I will have pictures of the Winter Storm up soon. It is pretty intense. Like 8 inches of snow. we don't normally even get ANY snow so this is like a BIG deal. and we have like no snow plows either. so the roads are horrible. oh well.

Oh and for my birthday I got (among other things) a 7x7 rubiks cube (v cube). IT IS SOOO HARD. maybe someday i will solve it...... *dreams*

excuses

So I haven't posted in a while. and alot has happened... Halloween (i was working... :[ ), november started (yay!), oh and ummm yeah .... presidential election. (which btw i am less than two months too young to vote... <.<) So Obama won as I am sure many/all of you know, and although i did support McCain more, I am not bitter that Obama won. Anyways, i think that is all that i missed....

I have soo many ideas for cool blog posts. but I haven't done any yet.... :[

MAYBE tommorow. I don't have school. vets day. (which means alot to me b/c my dad is a Vet)

Ruth-ness

Monday night my parents, my sister, our best friend, and I all went on a crazy drive down to Vancouver to see Ruth at thier CD release party. The drive was almost 3 hours... each way... on a school night! But it was WAY worth the lack of sleep. we got down there really early and had some pizza in vancouver, then we went back and chilled at the church for a while. the Ruth guys were just walking around, it was pretty sweet. Later we bought CD's and t-shits and met them and had them sign stuff... they were really cool to talk to, they could believe that we drove that far just to see them. We also met Danny, the new drummer. He is super nice. He seemed really suprised that we wanted his autograph. I have more stories, but I don't want this to be super long post.

The concert started. (oh by the way did I mention it is in this really small church that only fit like 200 people max?) We were front row, and by front row I mean we could have reached out and touched them. The concert was great!

An update

eh. I am going through some tough times emotionally and at school right now. so I haven't felt like posting. but i am now.

my best day in a long time

see title. which is kinda strange considering I had work today, and usually I don't like days I have work because it takes out a huge chunk of my day. but it wasn't so bad today. and the other things I did totally made up for it. lets rewind a little....

well first of all... NO SCHOOL today which automatically makes today rad.

-I got up early but not too early(9:30). I felt well rested for once, yet I hadn't slept the day away.
-I had breakfast & some tea. (tea makes everything better)
-Me and my sister watched The Phantom Of The Opera while curled up in our blankets. perfect. one of my favorite movies with the best sister/friend in the world. it was great.
-Our other 'sista' (if you have read the RK book) came over & we had lunch.
-we practiced Hacky Sack. we still kinda stink. but w/e... we are going to pwn by the time switchfoot ever does decide to come back over here.
- then our band ECHO got some good practice in. We shared lyrics & combined some to write an okay song. then we just played around w/ drum beats on the keyboards
-then i had to work :/
-got home. ate. watched tv for a few mins.
-My sister and I went out to do a 'creepy night photoshoot' for photo club... & we got rad pics. I may post some later...
-then now. about to go to bed. still a weekend ahead of me.

Love is this friday.

I didn't know until a few days ago that we have tommorow off from school! yes! its some silly teacher inservice day or something. :] i love it. anyways. i have plans for friday. fun ones. (except that i have to work on friday too)

fall=cold

the title of this post says it all. fall is cold. eep. it was like in the 70's a few weeks ago and now it is like in the 40's and rainy! I do not like waking up and being cold. urrrrrrrg....

but i do love when the leaves start to change color (like right now) and the smells of fall. the air smells so clean and crisp. and this is the first fall that i get to listen to fall by jon foreman during... (i waited for the winter/fall boxset last year) so yay.

thats it. oh my GP's (grandparents) left this morning. they get to drive all the way back home. I hope they have a safe journey.

Reviewing + extras

So it has been like 4 days since I went to seattle to see POTO. I needed a few days to calm down before i posted here about it. for example... this is what i wrote on the fact thread of LOBH when I got home that night...
fact: I am sooo happy right now!
fact: it is like the level of happiness at a switchfoot concert (well almost)
fact: it is because i just got back from seeing THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA! (musical broadway version)

haha i was like high on the Phantom lol... but really IT WAS AMAZING.

heh. I thought it was just going to be like the movie but with different voices and look kinda fake... but it was crazy. It was pretty much like the movie... but like in front of my face! and the sets and effects were amazing! they had some new/different secnes too. lets just say it is tied for the highlight of my year so far (tied with my france trip). you say thats sad? psh. w/e. *goes to watch the phantom*

today. the two year anniversary of my first switchfoot concert. wow. It is just crazy to think about. two years ago today I met tim (well for like 2 seconds). crazy.

Anyways. today got presents for G's b-day. I can't wait to see her reaction.
